Plunge into nanotechnology
Abstract:
Nanotechnology is making important advancements in this community with the help of the University of Notre Dame, Memorial Hospital, P-H-M schools and others. And though it may be difficult to fully understand the impact of the science now and in our future, it is important that our community be committed to learning about this technology that one day could be the foundation for future job growth. That was the idea behind a recent "plunge" sponsored by Memorial Hospital and the University of Notre Dame that sought to introduce community residents to the high-tech research going on at the university.
The hope is that research happening now will lead to jobs and new business ventures in the future.
