Arlington Chamber lands $2.7 million DOD tech contract

Abstract:
The Arlington Chamber of Commerce expects to close a $2.7 million, five-year contract with the Department of Defense this month - essentially an agreement that the chamber will find commercial partners to license and produce products and technologies developed by DOD laboratories.

"That research is massive," Jurey said. "It includes bio-medicine, nanotechnology, muscle and bone regeneration, making materials lighter and stronger, better lubricants and fuels, coal liquidification, communication technologies and more - anything and everything that might reduce their cost or increase the ability of the military to perform or keep a soldier safe."
