Applied Materials plans $2B stock repurchase

Abstract:
Applied Materials Inc. said Monday it plans to repurchase another $2 billion of its stock.

Santa Clara, Calif.-based Applied (Nasdaq: AMAT), which conducts research at the University at Albany's College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering, said the repurchase program runs through the next three years.
