Japan's Kaneka Ties With Belgium Lab to Improve Solar Cells

Abstract:
Japanese company Kaneka Corp. (TSE:4118) announced Monday a team-up with world-leading Belgian nanotechnology research center IMEC in the development of solar cells.

Kaneka aims to raise its products' efficiency at converting sunlight into electric power to the 20 per cent level, the highest in the world, under a three-year agreement with IMEC taking effect this month.
