Thai researchers adapt nanotech to clean fish bowls

Abstract:
Thai researchers have succeeded is using titanium dioxide (TiO2) nano-sized particles to coat ceramic or stone for water treatment in fish bowls.

Stones or ceramics coated with TiO2 nano-particles can eliminate moss and bacteria in fish tanks.

The technology can be applied for use in aquariums and commercial fish ponds to reduce the cost of water treatment and has been already transferred to the private sector.
