Market Report: Lloyds TSB boosted by SocGen bid rumours
Abstract:
The star small-cap performer was the nanotechnology group Oxonica. The firm gave investors a grim announcement on 6 June, confirming a supply agreement with Petrol Ofisi has been scrapped. Traders said the shares have been heavily shorted since then and yesterday's 19p rally to 51.5p was largely due to a bear squeeze, as short sellers covered positions in a thinly traded stock.
