Environmental Ethics Institute to Examine Environmentalism for the Future
Abstract:
The institute includes eight free public evening events. Two of these, "Local Responses to Global Climate" with the Missoula Mayor and guests, and "Building Community: One Moral Value at a Time," examine the politics of environmental action. Two events focus on the potential for the overlooked field of Agrarian Philosophy to improve community-environment relations. Vicki Colvin, Director of the Center for Biological and Environmental Nanotechnology, will talk about emerging issues in "Nanotechnology and the Environment."
