Moser to set up $250 mn thin-film unit

Abstract:
Optical storage maker Moser Baer has announced that it will invest $250 million in the next three years to set up the largest thin-film solar fabrication facility in the world. The company has already entered into a technological pact with a US-based company for this purpose.

Moser Baer CMD Deepak Puri said this would also enable the company to have the first-mover advantage in manufacturing large area thin-film modules.In this regard, the company has entered into a technology partnership with the US-based Applied Materials, provider of nanotechnology solutions for the electronics industry.
