Abstract:
Richard Clarke portrays a world of accelerated technology, with some uses that are in the research or planning stages now. He gives a few examples in an author's note:
• Exoskelton suits to give soldiers enhanced capabilities: The U.S. Army has worked with the University of California-Berkeley on a prototype that allows soldiers to carry 180 pounds, while feeling as if they are carrying five.
