Nanotechnology and culture
Abstract:
Nanotechnology is a recent growth in the field of science that has already begun to affect culture, but it has the potential to revolutionize modern technology and rewrite various areas of culture as we know it today. Nanotechnology opens the doors for a revolution in the material that one can use to manufacture many things.
In modern times, plastics dominate as one of the most culturally connected and imposing forms of technology; we can equate nanotechnology with the next "plastics revolution." Plastics are in clothes, in cookware, in houses, in cars, in our bodies and in the places we work. It is anticipated the revolutionary technologies in nanoscience will open up doors for manufacturing like the way plastics did before.
