Nanotechnology is still in its infancy in Central Florida

Abstract:
VaxDesign Corp. wants to copy your immune system. The company, which is trying to engineer artificial tissue that replicates the body's immune response, hopes its technology could someday replace the use of animals in testing vaccines and cosmetics. To mimic the tiny complexities of the body's immune system, such as its ultra-thin membranes, the company has turned to nanotechnology.
