Canada lags in nanotechnology

Abstract:
Canada risks losing top researchers in nanotechnology if it does not promote the industry, a panel of experts agreed yesterday. A lack of a government policy to promote nanotech and disinterest by large firms are keeping Canada far behind other developed countries, members from universities, businesses and government agencies argued during Nanotechnology Day at Concordia University. "And that's a shame, because there are so many great researchers here," said Neil Gordon, president of the Canadian Nanobusiness Alliance.
