Making large-area molecular junctions

Abstract:
A team from the University of Groningen and Philips Research Laboratories, both in the Netherlands, has made molecular junctions with diameters of up to 100 µm and with a yield of more than 95%. The technique could find a use in the emerging field of molecular electronics.
