Finding a few million in the defense budget

Abstract:
While the president's proposed budget is far from final, it's encouraging to see that it contains a sliver of success for Oregon's fledgling nanotechnology sector. In the budget proposal announced Monday, the White House proposed making an $8 million, three-year grant for defense-oriented research to the 3-year-old Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute, known as ONAMI.
