The World Is At The Door
Abstract:
As the decade began, Cisco Systems initiated a no-strings-attached program granting select universities $20,000 to $100,000 to conduct basic IT research. Times have changed, and Cisco now gives about a quarter of all its grants for university research to schools overseas. HP recently pumped thousands of dollars into nanotech research at schools in China and Russia.
