South Carolina center carves out nano ethics niche

Abstract:
Davis Baird tries to imagine what he cannot see: particles at the atomic level and how scientific manipulation of those tiny particles might affect human lives. Baird, dean of the South Carolina Honors College, is a professor of philosophy, a field that might not jump to mind in a discussion about nanotechnology.
