Nanotech's Super Salesman

Abstract:
Darin Barney: It's a revolution (again), it's "changing our lives" and it's turning our dreams into reality. So says Ted Sargent, Canada Research Chair in Emerging Technologies, professor of engineering at the University of Toronto, and current wunderkind of the nanosphere. Sargent's lab is credited with the invention of a sprayable material that can turn infrared light into electrical energy, and he has used some of his time as a visiting professor at MIT to write a book meant to tell folks outside the fraternity of science and engineering what all the fuss regarding nanotechnology is about.
