UK's success depends on science says Jack Straw
Abstract:
By 2008 we will have doubled, in real terms, the Government's investment in science from the level in 1997, taking it to £5 billion per year. Through the 10-year Science and Innovation Investment Framework we have set ambitious goals for the future, and allocated the resources to achieve them. We are increasing funding for biotechnology and nanotechnology, two cutting-edge fields for the future.
