City relying more on technology companies

Abstract:
"A few years ago, we were talking furniture and textiles," said Coy Willard, chairman of the Economic Development Corp. "Now we are talking about emerging technology in truck bodies and nanotechnology."

A south High Point automotive-related manufacturer and a north High Point nanotechnology startup company gave the board an update Wednesday about how their new businesses were faring in their first year.
