Nanotubes respond to gas attacks

Abstract:
Physicists in the US and Sweden have shown that the electrical resistance of a carbon nanotube changes when it is hit by an atom or molecule. The new results will need to be taken into account in devices that rely on nanotubes as chemical sensors.
