Universities to share nanotech research funding of $11.3m

Abstract:
The government and the country's universities plan to invest $11.3 million in nanotechnology research in 2004-2005. Most of this sum will be used to purchase the necessary equipment for the universities. The investment, to be made through the National Research Infrastructure Forum, is the first stage of a five-year plan drawn up by the National Committee on Nanotechnology. The plan calls for investing $25-30 million in nanotechnology infrastructure over the next five years.
