IBM vigorous in its bi-coastal strategy
Abstract:
IBM has its feet firmly planted in two valleys. Not just Tech Valley, where the computer giant has invested heavily in its own backyard, but Silicon Valley, where it is increasing its presence. Most of IBM's recent investments in upstate New York have been well-publicized: Its first major investment in the region was made in April 2001 when it said it would donate $100 million to the state University at Albany's Center of Excellence in Nanoelectronics program.
