RPI, UAlbany each get $200K for research

Abstract:
Biotech research programs at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the state University at Albany will each get $200,000 in state funds as part of a program to retain promising young researchers, according to Gov. George Pataki's office. At RPI, a research project under the direction of Jan Stegemann was awarded the funds. The research will seek to build a patch for damaged cardiac tissues using nanotechnology.
