NIH grant is no small to-do for Springfield biotech
Abstract:
Springfield-based ISTN, which is working on technology that fuses two elements into one to control how drugs enter the body, has secured a $150,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health. The Small Business Innovation Research grant provides funding for ongoing development of the technology and, if the feds like what they see after a year, an open door for more research money and the potential for sales to NIH.
