Nano partners with big biz

Abstract:
The nanotechnology genie is out of the bottle and big business is granting the wishes of the tiny valley companies that are developing its applications. Quantum Dot Corp. of Hayward just signed on with a giant Japanese conglomerate as part of a growing partnership trend between small nanotech companies and huge multinational corporations. But while experts agree such partnerships will help grow budding nanotech markets, there is concern that big business will put the kibosh on nanotech innovation. (more on earlier story)
