TCL Launches World’s Most Advanced TV in the World’s Largest Market: New Quantum Dot TVs with Color IQ™ Optics Deliver OLED-Quality Color at a Fraction of the Price

The new quantum dot televisions deliver 100% NTSC (or full-gamut color) with image performance superior to OLED, thanks to QD Vision's Color IQ optics. Technological innovation combined with an exquisite industrial design places this stunning world-class television on par with the best on the market today, providing both luxury design and picture quality aesthetics at mainstream prices.

"This is a high-end TV at an accessible price, designed to give consumers the most vibrant colors and the most advanced picture quality," said E. Hao, CEO of TCL Multimedia. "We're delivering both quality and value to the Chinese market with this TV, and we expect to expand its availability to other regions next year."

"Better color makes everything better - from watching movies to gaming to e-commerce and advertising," said Matt Mazzuchi, Vice President, Market and Business Development, QD Vision. "QD Vision's Color IQ technology is the only solution to provide full-gamut color at a fraction of the cost of OLED."

In addition to the impressive image quality, the H9700 Quantum Dot TV boasts several other high-end design features like an innovative TV stand that acts as a cable organizer, routing all of the wires to a convenient, central point behind the TV. Custom color panels lock into place magnetically and help to keep unsightly wires out of view, while showing off the user's personal sense of style. In addition, the TV stand allows the H9700 to rotate a full 360 degrees to ensure an optimal viewing experience from any vantage point. Cutting-edge 30W Harman Kardon speakers provide a full-bodied auditory experience that rounds out the luxury feature set.

According to E. Hao, the H9700's TV+OS system provides a platform for both Android and Linux systems, with software updates and security. Additionally, the H9700 is equipped with standard ports to support ATV, HbbTV, DRM, etc. in order to adapt different smart televisions in other global regions.

The new quantum dot televisions are the result of close collaboration between TCL, the world's third best-selling television brand, QD Vision, the leading manufacturer of quantum dot optical components, and Shine On LED, which creates custom LED lighting and display solutions for high-end clients worldwide.
