Rebound after last year's earthquake
The earthquake/tsunami disaster last March was threatening the success of this year's event. But the number of applicants in the aftermath of the disaster was extremely high. Finally, the organizer expects again more than 500 exhibitors and up to 50,000 visitors, which makes nano tech the largest nanotechnology fair worldwide. More than a quarter of the exhibitors are foreign participants from 22 different countries. Below is the full exhibitor list:

A focus on Nanotech Life applications
After highlighting "Green nanotechnologies" during the last years, life science applications of nanotechnology will be added as a new focus of the exhibition.
Under the topic of "Life & Green Nanotechnology 10-9 INNOVATION", nano tech 2012 will especially highlight products and technologies for the medical field, cosmetics, and the food sector, without leaving popular green technologies aside.
A Special Symposium "Life Nanotechnology - Cutting Edge Technology for Health Innovation in an Aging Society -" will pick up main developments in this field:

Concurrent events to create synergies with nanotechnology
Seven concurrent exhibitions take advantage of the synergies with developments in the nanotech field and present a variety of specialized applications:
The Water Solution Exhibition InterAqua 2012,
the surface exhibitions SURTEC 2012 and ASTEC 2012
Printable Electronics 2012, Convertech JAPAN 2012,
neo functional material 2012 and Eco Cell Battery Expo 2012.
