INIC Presents Nano Products in 11th Int'l Exhibition of Building Industry in Iran

Tehran, Iran | Posted on August 2nd, 2011

In addition to creating interaction with the participant centers, Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council introduced its products and activities carried out in the field of nanotechnology in building industry by taking part in the exhibition. The activities included concrete nano additives, building paints based on nanotechnology, modern solar cells, waterproof coatings and antibacterial tiles.

In this exhibition, 45 cooperation requests from the visitors were received by Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council's stall. The majority of the requests were related to the application of nanomaterials in concrete industry, resins, and nano coatings used in stones, and the application of self-cleaning coatings and thermal insulations in the building.

Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council participates in specialized domestic and international exhibitions in order to develop the applications of nanotechnology in industry, to introduce Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council's supportive activities for the firms which enter nanotechnology field such as carrying out feasibility study, standardizing products based on nanotechnology, presenting products to the market and exchanging technical knowledge between the researchers inside or outside the country in the field of nanotechnology.

It was the fifth participation of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council in specialized exhibitions related to nanotechnology in 2011. Among other specialized exhibitions in which INIC introduced the applications of nanotechnology in the present year, mention can be made of 'The Third International Exhibition on Energy Saving and Civil Electronic Management', 'The Nineteenth International Exhibition on Ceramic and China Tiles', 'Exhibition on Agricultural Industry, Foodstuff, and Related Industries (Agrofood)', and 'The Second International Exhibition on Equipment and Devices for Moisture, Thermal, Optical, Sound, and Corrosion Insulations and the Related Industries'.
