Lois Capps views UCSB’s Nanomedicine center
Abstract:
Rep. Lois Capps, D-Santa Barbara, spent two hours Tuesday afternoon touring the UCSB-Sanford Burnham Center for Nanomedicine.
When asked why she came to see the center, Capps answered simply, "to be inspired."
The center certainly delivered.
A collaborative effort between UCSB, a top research university, and the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, the top institute for biomedical research during the last decade, the Center for Nanomedicine is on the cutting edge of the cutting edge when it comes to disease research.
