baumann photovoltaic Division Adds New Handling Modules
Amberg, Germany | Posted on July 20th, 2010
Amberg based equipment vendor baumann extends the range of modules for its automation systems for crystalline solar cell manufacturing. The new wafer handling system for the loading and unloading of SiC diamond boats offering a capacity of 1,000 wafers guarantees an output of 4,000 wafers per hour. baumann's new wafer handling therefore meets the demand for ever higher throughput.
Additionally, the proven standard equipment for wafer inspection, loading and unloading of wetbenches, diffusion-, PECVD- and oxidation ovens has been further optimized. In this vein, baumann continues to concentrate on its photovoltaic Division, the strongest business activity besides its handling & assembly, and testsolutions branches.
The company, founded in 1984 by Dr.-Ing. Georg Baumann, has been focussing since 1991 on advanced robot and automation technologies. baumann is one of the leading systems integrators for international robot manufacturers such as Stäubli and KUKA and is regarded worldwide as an important R&D partner for automated assembly technology.
