Urine mineral test for cattle better than blood test
Abstract:
The University of Twente, the company Blue4Green and Veterinary practice De Graafschap in the Netherlands have teamed up with 23 dairy farmers to develop a new urine test for cattle.
This test will give a quick insight in the mineral balance of the cow. This test is available, but uses blood samples. For the development of the test, the company Nanoned supplied €50,000. Nanoned stimulates research and development in nanotechnology in the Netherlands.
