Moneta develops new nanotech foil and waxed paper confectionery wraps
Abstract:
Peter Lopatnik, marketing director at Moneta, told ConfectioneryNews.com that the new material is the outcome of work conducted by the R&D researchers at the packaging supplier's headquarters.
According to Lopatnik, by applying the nanoparticle based coating onto seven micron aluminium film with eight colours rotogravure print, it means that the material has in fact the strength and stiffness equivalent to 14 micron foil along with excellent machinability.
"The coating solution consists of only 0.4 per cent nanoparticles, and all of the products manufactured by the company are CEE certified in terms of approval for direct contact with the food," he continued.
