Third IBSA nanotech initiative to boost trilater
Abstract:
In a bid to strengthen the trilateral initiative between India, Brazil and South Africa (IBSA), the third nanotechnology initiative was launched in Chennai on Monday.
"The third school on Advanced Materials will focus on advanced aspects of nanomaterials with specific emphasis on sensor applications," said Dr Baldev Raj, director of the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research and national coordinator of India for the IBSA Nanotechnology Initiative.
Talking to media after the inaugural session, Raj said the purpose was to establish contact points among the scientists of the three countries, investigate areas of mutual interest and identify available expertise and infrastructural capabilities in various scientific institutes of three countries.
