Portable Power: Smaller, Smarter Batteries Create New Smart Ecosystems

Abstract:
Cynthia S. Artin: Where would the Smart Product Ecosystem be without better batteries?

All too often, the media attention on smart products in the energy sector clusters around the initiatives such as smart grids, electric autos and renewable energy that are backed by big brands and government funding.

In this post, I want to shine a spotlight on the lesser-known companies that focus on innovating and inventing better batteries to power these and other smart product sectors. Such innovators could end up at the top of the list of investment winners in the hyper-connected society and economy of this decade.
