National nanotechnology expert to speak at Grand Valley State University

Abstract:
Chemist and nanoscience expert Chad Mirkin will speak twice at Grand Valley State University on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., on the Allendale Campus. Mirkin's afternoon presentation, "Building Valency in Metallic Nanostructures: The Atom Analogy," will be held in 123 Manitou Hall. His evening lecture, "Programming Materials Assembly with DNA: Applications in Biology and Medicine," will be held in the Cook-DeWitt Center.
