'Go to' company at research park leads way in tissue technology

Abstract:
Increased employment is tied to technology being developed by Nanovis LLC, a company headquartered at Purdue Research Park in West Lafayette.

The company that was founded in 2006 announced Tuesday that it has begun initial testing of a bone regeneration technology.

Nanovis uses nanostructured biomaterials and proprietary bone growth factors to promote real bone growth among patients with a high risk of bone fracture.

To bolster its efforts, last year the company received a $2 million grant from the 21st Century Research and Technology Fund, which is administered by the Indiana Economic Development Corp.
