Luther Forest Technology Campus Welcomes GLOBALFOUNDRIES and Unveils Corporate Brand

Saratoga Springs, NY | Posted on April 8th, 2009

Luther Forest Technology Campus (LFTC) today announced a new corporate brand and Web destination, as it welcomes its first anchor tenant for the 1,414-acre campus. With the launch and unveiling of the newly-formed GLOBALFOUNDRIES, a partnership between Advanced Micro Devices and Advanced Technology Investment Company of Abu Dhabi, plans can now move forward for the building of the world's most advanced microchip fabrication plant, named Fab 2.

"GLOBALFOUNDRIES will place the Capital Region of New York state as a frontrunner for leadership in advanced manufacturing and nanotechnology innovations," said Michael Relyea, president of Luther Forest Technology Campus. "Starting with Fab 2, we will continue to populate the remaining
1,600,000 square feet with midsize manufacturing facilities and corporate office space for ancillary businesses."

Unlike other choices for commercial site selection, Luther Forest is shovel-ready with utilities in place that offer abundant and reliable water, sewer, telecommunications and redundant electricity.

The corporation oversees the day-to-day operations of the land and manages both local and national strategic alliances vital to the success of the campus. LFTC consists of a team of 20 plus consulting partners who together provide oversight on the construction of all the major utilities coming into the campus. As a part of operations, LFTC also manages the marketing and business development efforts toward future economic growth for the campus.

The Web site will act as the resource for future business ventures with the campus and for help in planning the relocation of companies as well as the personnel involved. For more information, please visit www.lutherforest.org.
