Sponge-like nanoparticles absorb microwaves

Abstract:
On examination it appears that nanostructured manganese oxides possess excellent microwave absorption properties, which could enable a wide range of potential civil, commercial and military applications such as radar cross-section reduction and shielding of cellular communication, computers, wireless LAN devices and wireless antenna systems.
