Abstract:
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday called on Union Science & Technology Minister Kapil Sibal and sought early environment and forest clearance (EFC) for setting up of a world class National Agri-food Biotechnology Institute and bio-processing unit and National Institute of Nanotechnology.

Badal raised this issue during his meeting with Sibal in New Delhi and said the state government had already acquired 381.38 acres of land at a cost of Rs 274.35 crore at Mohali for the proposed knowledge city, an official release said here.
