Product to aid MRSA fight

Abstract:
BioShield 75 is what its makers call a "biostatic surface protectant" that was developed using nanotechnology.

Applied correctly, it forms a bond with just about any surface; its own surface has microscopic "spikes" that impale and kill any incoming microbes.

It's considered safe for humans and the USDA has even approved it for use on food preparation surfaces.

"We feel we have created the ultimate antimicrobial," said Carl Saboriti, account manager for Indusco LTD - the Greensboro, N.C., company that manufactures Bioshield 75.
