Industrial Hygienists Connect and Seek Solutions at PCIH
Abstract:
The Professional Conference on Industrial Hygiene (PCIH) was held Oct. 20-23 in Louisville, Ky., to provide an educational and professional networking opportunity for industrial hygiene industry leaders.
The PCIH program included general sessions and special solutions workshops that focused on a broad range of topics. To ensure that participants were able to concentrate in their specific areas of expertise, the conference offered two session tracks: technical and strategic. The technical track addressed issues such as occupational exposures and disease, advances in personal protective equipment, nanotechnology, environmental assessment for mold investigations and health-related aerosol measurement. The strategic track focused on ethics, business continuity management, developing culture-appropriate training and global harmonization.
