Haryana seeking Canadian partners
Abstract:
The north Indian state of Haryana which is bidding fair to become the top economic performer in India rolled out the red carpet to potential Canadian business partners at a trade event held in Toronto last week.
"We are the most investor-friendly state and today have the maximum per capita investment in India," Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda told Indo-Canadians during a brief visit to Toronto as part of a wider North American tour he had undertaken together with a Confederation of Indian Industry delegation.
"Areas of particular interest are in agro-based processing and manufacturing, automobile and parts joint ventures, leather and textile production, biotech and nanotechnology," he later told South Asian Focus.
