Council to support water desalination plant in Muscat
Abstract:
The high-powered Scientific Research Council has given the preliminary approval for setting up a research chair in nanotechnology in water desalination at the Sultan Qaboos University.
The new department will be entirely funded by the council, it was announced after a meeting of the council here on Sunday presided over by Sayyid Shihab bin Tareq al Said, Adviser to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. Sayyid Shihab is the Chairman of the council, established in 2005 through a royal decree.
