Abstract:
The 17th International Conference on Electronic Properties of Two-Dimensional Systems (EP2DS-17) and the 13th International Conference on Modulated Semiconductor structures (MSS-13) will be jointly held at the Magazzini del Cotone in Genova, Italy, July 15 - 20, 2007.

International Conference on Electronic Properties of Two-dim

Genova, Italy | Posted on March 12th, 2007

EP2DS traditionally covers the fundamental physics as well as the transport and optical properties of electronic states in low dimensional semiconductors and other mesoscopic systems.
MSS addresses the synthesis, processing and applications of modulated materials. With an initial focus on semiconductor hetero- and nanostructures, MSS now also encompasses the broader range of hybrid, modulated organic, spintronic, and biologically-based modulated structures.

EP2DS 17+13 MSS topics include:

Electronic, optical and magnetic properties of low-dimensional semiconductor quantum structures;
Spintronic and spin phenomena in nanostructures;
Organic semiconductors and hybrid structures;
Physics and devices for quantum computation;
Nanoelectronics;
Advanced photonic devices;
Novel low-dimensional structures, including carbon nanotubes, nanowires, biological and molecular structures;
Emergent phenomena in the Quantum Hall effects,
Metal-insulator transitions;
Novel probes, techniques and fabrication methods.
