Nano Risk Framework
Abstract:
International chemicals and products company DuPont and U.S. non-profit organization Environmental Defense have publicly released a draft version of the Nano Risk Framework, developed collaboratively by the two organizations to help industry, governments, universities, and other organizations develop and apply practices for "the responsible development, production, use and disposal of nano-scale materials" across their full lifecycle. The framework is intended to define practices for identifying potential human health and environmental risks of nanomaterials, assessing the potential for release of and exposure to nanomaterials, and managing risks associated with potential exposure to nanomaterials.
