Area colleges, universities collaborate on high-tech programs

Abstract:
One of the key drivers of the region's recent high-tech growth has been the state University at Albany, with its focus on nanotechnology and biotechnology. UAlbany formed the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering - the first college in the nation solely devoted to nanotechnology, and the university's Albany NanoTech research site has announced about $1 billion in investments there this year.
