"Molecular Surgery" On Carbon Fullurene

Abstract:
Researchers at Kyoto University in Japan have succeeded in trapping a hydrogen molecule inside a carbon fullerene with the "molecular surgical method." A carbon fullerene is a nanoscale structure which comprises a number of carbon atoms arranged in a sphere or tube and has unique electrical properties. The Kyoto university team used a well-known fullerene comprising 60 carbon atoms, often called "buckminsterfullerene.
