Applied Materials tells some to find new jobs

Abstract:
Semiconductor equipment supplier Applied Materials Inc. plans to tell as many as 2 percent of its employees to find new jobs within the organization or leave the company as part of a program to redeploy staff affected by strategic organizational changes.
