SUNY nanotech researchers report breakthrough

Abstract:
The state University of New York's College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering spintronics lab has proven silicon can maintain a permanent magnetic field above room temperature, something researchers say could help to develop more effective magnetic semiconductors and future spintronic devices.
