Organic molecules "lock into" surface
Abstract:
Researchers from the University of Aarhus in Denmark and the Universidade Estadual de Campinas in Brazil have found that the surface diffusion of certain large organic molecules on a copper substrate depends on their orientation. The result has implications for the development of self-assembled molecular devices.
